After a quick chat on the phone, which did throw up a few awkward silences I agreed to meet Karl. I did think what are you letting yourself in for, can it possibly be worst than the two previous dates. But hey in for a penny, in for a pound!
We both arrived at the same time infront of our meeting destination, an old lighthouse ship. First impressions, were he looks like a rougher version of an ex from 10 years back. So yep looks wise I thought the fella was hot!
What I thought would be a 2 hour date tops, turned into over 6 hours. Though I was aware I was doing most of the talking and the more alcohol consumed, I hate to think what was being said. He wasn’t a great conersationalist when I did shut my trap for a few minutes to let him speak. But he had that schoolboy charm of a smile!
I decided to call it a night, as I knew I’d reached that point where a hangover from hell would soon be on the cards. Plus I thought we’d spent quite along time together for a first date, there needs to be some mystery left. Also I thought any more to drink and instead of the peck on the cheek goodbye, I would’ve pinned the poor lad up against the wall for a full on hot snog!
I got back and unlike the previous two dates where the men had texted me straight away to say they had a nice time, my phone didn’t bleep at all! Damn why is the ones you want to text back that don’t! But hey I surprisedly enjoyed myself where I honestly thought I wasn’t going to.
